TZ-NNCB-00NGO0008958-KEUCHAPJ1504 Smart Farmers and Transformation (SFT) The Kilimo Endelevu na Usalama wa Chakula (KEUCha) Project is a three-year initiative (2026–2028) implemented by Smart Farmers and Transformation (SFT) in Karagwe District, Kagera Region, under the ASILI B-CC Programme, with funding from Sida through Vi Agroforestry. The project aims to strengthen the resilience and livelihoods of smallholder farming communities through sustainable agriculture, agroforestry, climate-smart practices, food and nutrition security, and improved market opportunities. The project’s key target groups are smallholder farmers, women, youth, farmer groups and Village Savings and Loan Associations (VSLAs), with particular attention to vulnerable and resource-constrained households. KEUCha seeks to enhance their knowledge, skills, access to productive resources, financial services, and market opportunities while strengthening their capacity to adapt to climate change. Through training, demonstrations, access to quality planting materials, and stakeholder collaboration, the project supports increased agricultural productivity and household income while promoting gender equality, biodiversity conservation, and sustainable natural resource management.
