NL-KVK-41150085-XM-DAC-7-PPR-4000007284 Nuffic Strengthened international cultural cooperation in the field of cultural (colonial) heritage by increased (youth) participation (20-35 y.o.) in and relevant knowledge and skills for the museum sector and cultural heritage sector as well as a strong and relevant network of organisations and students/researchers/professionals in this field between NL, Indonesia, Nigeria, South Africa, Sri Lanka and Suriname. Subobjectives were a smooth outreach & selection process (indicators 0.1&0.2) which was realised by close cooperation with the cultural attaches at relevant ambassies as well as the Dutch Cultural Heritage Agency and the wide use of Nuffic's networks in education in the programme countries. We managed to reach a wide variety of students and received more than sufficient applications from excellent, even from smaller countries like Suriname. Study success was also supported by a predeparture meeting for the scholarship holders and throughout the year network opportunities with relevant professionals from the sector were provided by invitations to events, like Indonesia NOW by Dutch Culture, lectures by Pressing Matters and a special networking event with various museum professionals hosted at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Recently (BA) graduated students and young professionals from Indonesia, Nigeria, South Africa, Sri Lanka and Suriname.
