<narrative xml:lang="en">The project's goal is to strengthen sustainable natural resource management practices and improve women’s meaningful participation in environmental decision-making across the three remote Yaghnob Valley, specifically villages of Dehbaland, Kul and Garmayn. By expanding access to clean energy solutions and increasing knowledge on environmentally sustainable practices, the project aims to create measurable improvements in household resilience and reduce the pressures on fragile local ecosystems.
This objective contributes directly to Little Earth’s long-term goal of fostering community-driven, rights-based environmental action in remote mountain regions. Increased access to green technologies, combined with strengthened local capacity, will help households transition away from unsustainable practices such as excessive fuelwood. Improved participation of women who are disproportionately affected by energy poverty and limited livelihood opportunities will diversify leadership in resource governance and enhance community cohesion.</narrative>
