It focuses on capacity strengthening, safe communication, and increased access to verified information to support accountability and respect for human rights, in line with a rights-based approach. The objective of the activity is that civil society actors in Western Sahara, including journalists, human rights defenders, youth and informal groups, strengthen their capacity to document, report and disseminate information on human rights violations and to engage with decision-makers at local, national and international levels. Target groups are journalists, human rights defenders, youth and civil society actors in Western Sahara and in exile, as well as international actors working on human rights and freedom of expression.
